Encanto, meaning
‘enchantment’ is located southeast of Downtown San Diego near National
City. With rolling hills, natural canyons, and affordable housing,
Encanto has quickly become San Diego’s largest neighborhood, home to
over 60,000 residents. It is bordered by Logan Heights & Lemon Grove;
Imperial Avenue runs through the center, as the hub of the
neighborhood’s commerce.
Encanto real estate is a
mix of single family and multi-unit housing. The area is focused on
ethnic diversity and ongoing revitalization efforts that encourage
community involvement. Kids are part of the San Diego City School
District and also have a Boys and Girls Club. The trolley runs through
Encanto stretching south to San Ysidro and the border, and northeast to
Mission San Diego, just past Qualcomm Stadium. Commuters are not far
from National City or Downtown San Diego.
